Frequently asked questions

If you can’t find the answer to your question here, please contact me and I’ll be happy to help.

Coaching is a collaborative, thought-provoking and creative process, which inspires you to maximise your personal and professional potential, and achieve specific goals.

Therapy focuses on how the past has influenced your behaviour and circumstances, whereas coaching places the emphasis firmly on the present and future. Mentoring involves using the mentor’s own experience and expertise to guide you in a specific area of industry, business or career development. Coaching focuses on your own experience, skills and choices.

Absolutely, yes. I adhere to the International Coaching Federation code of ethics, and will never reveal the content of our coaching sessions to anyone unless you are in danger of harming yourself or others. You are free to share whatever you like with others.

We’ll start with a 90 minute introductory session to consider what you wish to focus on during your programme and how I can best support you as your coach. We’ll then have one or two coaching sessions each month, typically lasting from 45 to 60 minutes.

Between our sessions, you’ll have homework to do! This is a challenging aspect of coaching, but it has a tremendous impact and it’s where the change really starts to happen. I’ll support you by email and text message throughout your journey.

Deciding to work with a coach is about investing in you and your future. Lasting change may not happen immediately, and we need to allow time for our coaching relationship to develop and for you to put your ideas and plans into action.

To gain real value from your investment, I suggest a minimum three month commitment but would recommend that we work together for six months, if possible. After this, you can choose to have further sessions on a month by month basis.

Yes - I offer a free 30 minute consultation so we can both decide if we feel comfortable moving forwards. Book a session here.

Yes it does, but you must be willing to commit to the coaching process, and be ready to make changes. Don’t just take my word for it, see some of my results here.
